ONLINE EXPERIENCE

For the first time in our history, attendees from around the world will be able to take part in YMCA World Council remotely through a dedicated programme of hybrid and exclusive online sessions. The programme will consist of all plenary sessions being streamed in real-time, with translation available into Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Korean, and available instantly afterwards to catch-up on-demand*, making every session available to every timezone.

YMCA World Council’s online experience is designed and optimised for desktop computers and laptops - use on mobile devices is not advised. Please ensure your browser is up to date and you are using either Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Microsoft Edge.

One World Council - two experiences (online overview)

In addition to live-streamed ceremonies and plenaries from Aarhus (plenaries with a red dot will be hybrid sessions), online participants will have access to live chat, remote speakers, and opportunities to put forward questions and comments. To create a vibrant online experience, World Council will also have a dynamic Online Host, offer exclusive online-only content, digital exhibition booths showcasing YMCAs around the world, collaborative sessions and interactive networking opportunities.

*translated on-demand sessions will be available after a short delay.

The online programme will combine live discussions, presentations, and networking. Feeding into a library of on-demand and curated materials will be available before, during and after World Council.

Online Co-Labs

Co-Labs are small group interactive spaces where attendees will come together through a facilitated process to learn about and address issues and solutions related to the themes of YMCA Vision 2030 (Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, Sustainable Planet and Just World).

There will be three 90-minute sessions in total for online participants, that will be run twice to allow every time zone to participate, Track 1 will be run on Tuesday, July 5, Wednesday, July 6 and Thursday July 7 at 20:00 CEST/Aarhus time. These sessions will have translation provided. Track 2 will be run on Wednesday 6, Thursday 7 and Friday 8 July at 09:00 CEST/ Aarhus time - these sessions will not have translation provided.

Attendees pick which Track they would like to participate in according to their time zone, and then remain in that Track for all three sessions.
