Given the ongoing Covid situation, will the physical event take place, and what precautions will be taken?
- World YMCA is continually reviewing the situation, with every intention that the physical event will go ahead. If the event is cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic, full ticket refunds will be given. For more specific information, please see the Covid-19 page here.
What are the registration deadlines?
- Discounted earlybird tickets for the physical event were available until 18 February 2022. Between 19 February and 31 March, the price was USD $1,100. After 31 March, the ‘late fee’ price rose to USD $1,300. The registration deadline for the physical event is 31 May.
Can I buy a group of tickets without allocating them to individuals?

Who is World Council for?
- Participation in World Council will give unprecedented access to YMCA's global movement, for senior leaders, young leaders, aspiring leaders, up and coming youth talent, front line staff, affiliate groups and partners, for volunteers, trustees and boards. This is a collaborative World Council, where we can share our collective vision and solutions together.
How do I apply for an invitation letter?
- You will automatically receive a link to download your visa invitation letter when you receive your registration confirmation.
How do I get from the airport to the World Council venue?
- Make sure you fill in your flight details on your registration form – you will be met at the airport according to your flight arrival time
How do I manage my bookings for changing or adding arrival/departure dates?
- If you don't have your travel information at the moment or need to modify it, you can return to your registration to update it.
How far are the hotels from the meeting venue?
- All hotels are within walking distance of the meeting venue, and there is local transport.
Can I book rooms for before and after the World Council?
- Yes, this can be done during the registration process.
What are the Hotel check-in/check-out times?
- Normal check-in time is after 3pm, and check-out time is before 10am, each hotel differs slightly and you should check your reservation confirmation.
What are the arrangements for meals?
- All hotel prices include breakfast. Coffee/Tea Breaks, Lunch and Dinner are provided as part of your ticket. At registration you will be able to set-out your dietary requirements.
What time does the programme commence?
- The full event schedule will be released nearer to July. Event accreditation will take place throughout Sunday 3 July, with an evening dinner, excursions on Monday 4 July followed by the Opening Ceremony.
What will the weather be like in Aarhus in July?

What is the currency in Denmark?
- The currency in Denmark is the Danish Krone. One Krone is approximately 0.13 Euros and 0.15 US dollars.
I cannot afford to attend, are there financial subsidies available?
- Some National Movements are eligible to receive travel funding subsidies, details of which are available in our Travel Subsidy Policy.
